OSCAR NAVARRO-ALVAREZ

Oscar Navarro-Alvarez is a doctoral student in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He is currently a research assistant for the Oakland Futures/Talking Transition project. His research interests include barriers to reentry, harm reduction, and desistance among hidden populations. He is also part of the Navigating Mainstream Institutions and Non-Traditional Alternatives Post-Incarceration project (funded by the National Science Foundation). He has an M.S. from California State University, Long Beach and a B.S. from California State University, Los Angeles in Criminology and Criminal justice.
