ALLI CHAGI-STARR

A longtime Bay Area social impact strategist and organizer, Alli Chagi-Starr brings deep conviction to our organization’s credo “Policy Equity for All.” As principal of Linked Fates Strategies, her work was dedicated to finding innovative solutions to intergenerational economic, environmental, and racial disparities. Chagi-Starr has a BA in Cultural Organizing from UC Berkeley/New College of CA and an MBA from Mills College’s Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy, where her studies focused on impact innovation, social entrepreneurship, marketing, and organizational design. She has worked in leadership roles with the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Green For All, The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, East Bay College Fund, and the Center for Transformative Action. Most recently, she served as a strategic advisor for the City of Oakland’s Workforce Development Division, expanding investments and cross-departmental alignments to improve outcomes for under- and unemployed youth and adults. In her role, she supported the roll out of a $14 million Request for Proposals (RPF) across 20 different service providers and supported the expansion of Oakland’s Summer Youth Employment Program. She received a FUSE Executive Fellowship in 2021 and a Coro Fellowship focused on workforce development in 2023. Alli currently serves on the board of Civicorps in Oakland, CA.
