Tomer is an economics PhD candidate here at Northeastern University. Tomer’s focus area is workforce development and he is researching how hospital mergers affect labor demand and job turnover. His work emphasizes that policy makers need to consider both the size of the merger as well as the initial market concentration when determining their effects on competition.
